MUJER DE GUERRA INC | WOMAN OF WAR
Our mission is to change lives through the compassion and love of God with integrity, compassion, respect, responsibility and sustainability.
OUR STORY
Mujer de Guerra Inc (Woman of War) was born in the heart of Janny Matos, who in 1990 emigrated to the United States with a deep desire to serve families in need in her home country, the Dominican Republic.
At an early age, Janny expressed her dream of becoming a woman devoted to missionary work. What seemed like a childhood fantasy turned into a divine calling that would shape her life.
In 2008, she settled with her family in North Carolina, where she became known for her culinary talent. She founded restaurants such as Savor Latino To Go in Raleigh (2010) and Caribbean Delight in Clayton (2016). However, God used her culinary talent to catapult her into her true calling.
In 2019, Janny Matos and co-founder María Rivera officially registered Mujer de Guerra Incorporated, expanding their work during the pandemic by providing food to hospitals, police officers, firefighters, and people experiencing homelessness.
Later, their international outreach extended to the Dominican Republic, Mexico (Cabo San Lucas, 2022), and El Salvador (2023).
